Protest at Lewisham Council & Mayor

Lewisham Council, Catford, London. Wed 28 Nov 2018

'Repair Don't Demolish'' and 'Save Tidemill'

'Housing for People, not for Speculators'

'Save Tidemill' - the Old Tidemill Gardens in Deptford are being destroyed after the occupiers were brutally evicted

 'People Before Profits'

A woman waves a Unite flag

'Do Not Destroy Our Garden'. A locally prepared plan has shown how the garden and Reginald House could

be retained while still providing the same number of properties in the development. Lewisham and Peabody are

not interested - and a legal fight to get them to reconsider the development continues

Campaigners queue to enter the meeting, though the council have told security only to admit those on a list who
have submitted written questions, falsely claiming there is not enough room for the rest. But this was a public
meeting and they were determined to be let in.
