Extinction Rebellion Bridge blockade starts

Westminster Bridge, London. Sat 17 Nov 2018



 People wait on Westminster Bridge for the signal to occupy the bridge. Police had diverted most of the traffic

 'Renewable Energy - Yes Please'

 Many had flags , t-shirts and posters with the Extinction Rebellion symbol

 A pack of 'Brownies' came to entertain the protesters - Brown Owl at right

 

 

 and they sang a number of songs against fracking and other environmental crimes

 People step over the barriers and occupy the road after the stewards with white sashes walk on to the roadway

 

 and some sit down in the middle of the road

 'We Are Nature Defending Itself'

 'What will we tell our CHILDREN'

 'Fossil Fuel Era Over'

 A Marc Bolan quote 'You Won't fool the Children of the Revolution'

 'Renewables Not Oil for Govt. Pensions'

'Bee Loved - Lets End Ecocide Now!'
