South Norwood stands with Grenfell

South Norwood, London. Wed 14 Nov 2018

After Conservative club members burnt an effigy of Grenfell Tower at a bonfire party in South Norwood, the whole

nation was shocked, and the South Norwood Tourist Board which promotes local events decided to organise a

march to show that the community of SOuth Norwood 'Stands with Grenfell' and against such hateful conduct.

The protest was timed to take place at the same time as the monthly silent march close to Grenfell Tower in North Kensington
which takes place on the 14th of every month to remember the victims of the deadly fire of 14th June 2017. A TV crew had

had come to show the event live on ITV News and were to interview Jane Nicholl and Sandra Ruiz from Grenfell United
