Vedanta's Final AGM

Lincoln's Inn Fields, London. Mon1 Oct 2018

Vedanta this morning delisted from the London Stock Exchange, under pressure from politicians and activists
following the Thoothukudi massacre in Tamil Nadu where 13 protesters were killed

Vedanta company Sterlite 'Toxic Killer of Tamil Nadu'

Vedanta violates human rights in India and elsewhere and damages the environment across the world

City of London is still plundering Africa - as poster lists 8 leading UK plunderers including Vedanta as Tamil drummers play

Posters say Vedanta is the most hated company in the world and has helped organise killings of environmental activists

The protesters hold a 'Hall of Shame' archway in front of the AGM venue, and throw dirts at it

and a photographs of Vedanta owner Anil Agarwal and others who support the company

'Run Away Anil' - Miriam Rose of Foil Vedanta holds up a poster for Anil Agarwal - who has failed to attend the AGM

 of his company

A man holds an egg ready to throw at the pictures of Anila Agarwal and the other Vedanta people

and the egg splats against the pictures

'Hall of Shame - The Faces Behind Vedanta' including former PM David Cameron

People hold up posters behind the banner for a group photo

A dissident shareholder who went into the AGM to protest tells us he walked out when his questions were not answered

Although this is the last Vedanta AGM now the company has delisted, protests will continue in London against
the company which still receives important backing from the City of London, like other mining companies which
are still plundering the world - if not as openly and crookedly as Vedanta.
