The Pioneer Centre, off St Mary's Rd. Architect Owen Williams opened
in 1935 is now luxury flats
The Pioneer Health Centre
Sassoon House, built in 1934, architect Maxwell Fry. Part funded
by Mrs Mozelle Sassoon and named for her son Reginald, an amateur jockey
killed
in a riding accident in 1933. These 23 working class flats were intended
to be self-funding. Grade II listed with Horseman in red,
black and white vitrolite to stair hall, designed by Hans Feibusch.
They were part of a complex with the Health Centre
