Bikers for Grenfell
Kensington Town Hall, London. Sat 14 Apr 2018
The glare from the headlights made it hard to photograph the riders
as they came down the road
but became much easier at an angle as them came past the people waiting
to take part in the silent walk
for Grenfell from outside Kensington Town Hall.
The noise of the bikes was certainly very different to the silence
of the march
and rather more difficult to ignore.
Some of the marchers said to me that they need to make more noise
Some of the bikes and riders had Grenfell flags and messages across
their chests
One man was taking part on a push-bike
The riders had to stop for the traffic lights at the junction with
Kensington High St
but soon roared away, and the crowds moved onto the road behind them for
the silent walk.
