The Russian Embassy is actually down this private street where protests
and photography are both forbidden
but the legation is on the main road
behind tall gates with the double-headed eagle
Protests take place on the other side of the road
'Child-killers' Russian air raids have targeted hospitals and medical
teams

the message 'War madness needs to stop!'

'Enough With Assad'
Cold rain was falling steadily on the protesters - and me
I went to photograph the embassy building across the main road
with its double-headed eagle on the gates and the wall. The two police
officers came to talk to me and asked
me politely if I could stop as they get complaints from the Russians.
I'd taken the pictures I wanted so agreed.
and went back across the road to the protesters
I stayed for around an hour, but was getting too cold and rather wet
so said goodbye and left for home.
