The new US Embassy in Nine Elms opened for business earlier this week
This was the first protest there. At right is a wall built by the
protesters
Behind the wall is the US Embassy
Paula Peters of Disabled People Against the Cuts (DPAC) speaks
The rain was falling steadily as she spoke
Trump has made many racist and Islamophobic statements
Today was the first anniversary of his inauguration
'Who's in a 'HOLE?' and a rather too graphic illustration
The embassy is a dramatic building, a large cube with a screen on
three sides
It was time to knock the wall down - but another photographer moved
in front of me as people began to push it down
It needed rather better choreography and for media to be organised
and not rush in front of others
for us all to get the best pictures.
The wall was rather less impressive once it was pushed down
The is a large foot more or less opposite the embassy
Paula Peters of DPAC poses in front of the embassy
