Cleaners invade Barbican Centre

Barbican, London. Sat 7 May 2016

Cleaners and supporters make a lot of noise inside the Barbican

An UVW General Secretary Petros Elia speaks against cutting the cleaners jobs to the people waiting to go in to the concert

The protesters march around to the entrance to the concert hall

but stewards on the doors stop them going inside the concert hall

and the protest continues in the area outside the hall

Palstic horns make a very loud noise in the enclosed spapce

Police arrive and talk with Petros Elia

Eventually the cleaners and their supporters agree to leave after they are threatened with arrest

But they do so slowly and very noisily, continuing to demand 'no redundancies'

Police escort them as they slowly make their way towards the front entrance
