Illegal Security blocades St James occupation

St James's Square, London. Thu 9 Apr 2015

  

 
Men dressed as security guards but without any visible ID blocking the doors to the occupied space

 

 A woman with her mouth closed by Police tape

 

 Protesters came to the door but the men told them if they came out they would not let them go back in

 The Private Security Industry Act 2001 made it a criminal offence for security guards not to have their SIA licence visible

 when facing the public, punishable by up to 6 months in prison - nd/or a fine of up to £5,000.
