Austerity Games on Hackney Marshes

Hackney Marshes, London. Mon 23 Jul 2012

The bankers used a small step in the first round of the Property High Jump

While others tried to get over the bar of high rents the hard way

When the bar was raised a couple of helpers lifted it for the banker and replaced it after his 'jump'

Rents in London are now ridiculously high, with even single grotty rooms costing around the total minimum wage

Prospective students found the Student Debt Weightlifting heavy going - and higher degrees often impossible

Though the banker didn't need to lift anything as daddy could pay for it all

There were some athletes who gained several medais

And for the 'Toss a Tory (Shotput)' a banker grabbed all of the medals probably because the Tories are tossers

If you are a banker you don't need to jump over the hurdles.
The loss of EMAP, high tutiton fees, excessive housing costs and the rest are not a problem for you.
