Stock Exchange Occupied

Paternoster Square, London. Tues 1 May 2012

Others sat around in the square, many taking a break and having a snack

Two protesters started to clim the monument in the square, and one took up residence on the plinth a few metres above the ground

with the maypole which was handed up to him - and a can of drink was thrown up

Police decided they would need a cherry-picker to get him down

The tents and banner had been moved to just outside the Stock Exchange entrance

and one of the tents was thrown up folded to the guy on the column, who put it up

I left around 7pm when nothing further seemed likely to happen for some while.
