May Day Workfare Protest

Oxford St - Royal Courts of Justice, London. Tue 1 May 2012

Another McDonalds - on the Strand

The protesters went to Aldwych, then returned towards Covent Garden

where a small group of protesters had managed to enter the Pizza Hut, and were ejected as we arrived

Police were guarding Topshop on the Strand, but the protesters had taken a wrong turning and were actually

heading for a brief stop at the cop shop! Charing Cross Police Station

but then went back across the Strand to Pizza Hut

one protester came and danced for my camera

Around 6.15 the police clocked off and the protesters were at something of a loss about what to do, but decided to head for the city

stoppiing at the Royal Courts of Justice to very briefly display a banner reading 'Vote None Of The Above'

which was hard to read as they stood or sat in front of it

After a minute or two they decided to quckly move down Fleet St and on to St Pauls and the Stock Exchange.
