Frack Off Big Oil!

There hadn't been a great deal of publicity for the protest which had a St Patrick's theme including the slogan

'Fracking - its bad craic!' and a leprechaun

who led the marchers and banner to the hotel where the oil companies conference was taking place

The protesters held the banner in front of the entrance, but were soon moved across the road

Phil Thornhill of Campaign against Climate Change

Police forced the protesters to the pen along the road

But soon they came out and walked around to stand in front of the hotel again

Police again escorted them across the road and into the pen

The protest went for another little walk and crossed back to the hotel

Police pushed them back across the road

almost into the traffic, and told them they would be arrested if they didn't stay in the pen.b It was time to go home
