Protest at Turkish LGBTI+ ban

Turkish Embassy, London. Wed 22 Nov 2017

Some had brought posters fro the protest opposite the Turkish Embassy in Belgrave Square

'We Are Here We Are Queer - Get Used To It!'

'Resist My Love, Resist Ayol' . “Resist ayol” or #direnayol was a twitter hashtag for the banned Istanbul Pride, and acts

as an indicator of gayness, and 'Resist Ayol' is rather like saying 'Resist',darling' in English. Resist was the
keyword of the movement which began with the 2013 Gezi Park occupation.

Welew ku em quneq in - We are the ones we are talking about

The protesters read out a statement on the ban made by Ankara based LGBTI organisations  Pembe Hayat (Pink Life) and Kaos GL

and Kaos GL

 'The World Is Watching'
