Freedom for Palestinian MP

Westminster Bridge, London. Fri 14 Jul 2017

A tall pole with two Palestinian flags and large banners made the protest very visible

One flag has the message 'Free Palestine' and the other 'Boycott Israel'

Much of the time the pavement was crowded with people, but there were a few gaps

Some of the protesters came to the UK from Palestine

Many paused as they walked past

and some stopped to give their support

 Others took leaflets

A speech told those who stopped a little of what happens to Palestinians and their imprisonment

A figure drawn in chalk illustrates the small underground dungeons in which some child prisoners are kept in
solitary confinement, leaving only for interrogation sessions.

Often prisoners in adminstrative detention are 'released' and immeriately rearrested and returned to administrative
detention, held for years on end without charge or trial.
