Britain First & EDL exploit London attack

Westminster, London. Sat 1 Apr 2017

Paul Golding, leader of Britain First at the head of the march

Jayda Fransen, Britain First's second in command.

Paul GOlding gives a victory sign

Two woman shout at the march, calling them racists and fascists

A Polish refugee marches iwth Britain First

The two women continue to shout - and they ignore a right-wing fake news crew who try to stop them by interviewing them

and people on the march shout back

The rally on the embankment starts

and Paul Golding introduces Jayda Fransen

I go back to Northumberland Avenue to photograph the EDL march, but can hardly see it for police

A woman starts to shout at the march but is tackled by police

As the EDL reaches its rally point I go inside the police cordon which has relaxed

 and take a few pictures

before one of the stewards sees me and objects to my presence

after which I have to photograph between police officers surrounding the rally

and a police officer comes to tell me off for having been in with the marchers. I tell her I had every right to be there

I decide it is time to leave. The speeches are not worth listening to and I've taken my pictures.
I decide to walk around to visit the counter protest - which requires a detour as police have closed the Embankment.
