Outside 1 Kingsway at the end of the LSE cleaners protes,
police moved in and surrounded Lisa McKenzie
and told her she was under arrest
They pushed her roughly to the wall of the building and
handcuffed her
People who tried to object to the arrest were surrounded and
pushed away
and a wall of police formed
and Lisa was led away behind them
to a waiting police van
and put inside
Everyone at the protest was shocked and angry. Police had been
excessivley rough during the arrest
and apparently Lisa was being charged with assault - when no-one has
seen her do anything.
Why was Lisa being picked on? The protesters felt it must be
politically motivated and it was
difficult to see any other reason.
