Peckham welcomes march against deportations

The protesters make a lot of noise as they walk up Rye Lane
People go into the shops and hand out leaflets
about the protest. Immigration raids often target shops
The protesters stop briefly several times for short speeches to let
everyone know why they are protesting
and to chant some slogans against the deportations
Zimbabeweans calling for Democracy, Freedom and Equality in their
country - and supporting those here
The protesters go back to Peckham Square for a rally on the edge of
Peckham High St

THe protesters continue to make a great deal of noise between short
speeches
The protest seems to be reaching its end as I leave.
