Erdogan and the AKP are fighting a war against their Kurdish population
and against democracy
shutting down cultural institutions and the free press
The protesters march up to the Turkish Embassy in Belgrave Square
where some of the protesters threw eggs and others shouted as police
tried to hold them back and push them across the road
but many of the Kurds just walked around the police line to the embassy
where police guarded the embassy door
eventually the police gave up trying to push the crowd away
and the rally began with speakers immediately in front of the embassy
The Kurds were reflected in Mercedes cars and vans parked in front
of the embassy
