No Red Arrows Over Pride

Trafalgar Sq & Ministry of Defence, London. Thur 9 Jun 2016

  

 
 No Pride in War protesters meet up in Trafalgar Square

 They have brought a coffin with glitter, flowers and an RAF roundel

 They met by the lions

 Red Arrows publicise the RAF and glamourise weapons of war, produced by BAE Systems

 

 A man who took part in the first Pride protest holds up a placard 'Make Love Not War - Peace & Love are the roots
of gay liberation which gave us Pride. Say No to the militarisation of Pride & our Society. No to the Red Arrow Fly-past of LGBTQ Pride

 'No Pride In War'

 The RAF coffin is at the head of the march as it leaves Trafalgar Square, carried by 4 pall-bearers

 

 
 
Others follow with megaphoone, posters, placards and banners 

 

 

 

and they arrive at the Minstry of Defence 

where they put down the coffin 

and pose for photographs
