St Georges Day in London

Trafalgar Square & Borough High St, London. Sat 23 Apr 2016

 Decorations in Trafalgar Square

 and a dragon

you could pose and have your picture taken with

Long tables you could sit and eat at - and there were a lot of stalls selling food around the edges of the square

everyone got handed little St George's flags

but there seemed to be little real atmosphere

St George in the King's Head with some mates. They had been going around the area

and had probably visited a few pubs

but he posed for me when I asked to take his picture

and we had a short chat

Bob wanted his picture with Henry VIII

A rather friendly dragon made his way to the bar

followed by a second St George

who came with a sword and a shield

I photographed the second St George outside, while the dragon held his pint.
He was on his way to the Crossbones graveyard where there was the usual monthyl
celebrtion, with a little extra for St GHeorges Day and invited me to go along, but I wanted to get home
