	From footpath to Johnson's Island Artists studios on Johnson's Island Town Wharf from Johnson's Island bridge to Catherine Wheel Yard The Brewery Tap.The Brewery was behind the tap Former Great Western Railway line to Brentford Dock. Now the bridge carries Augustus Close, leading to the Dock estate View along canal to Thames Lock View along canal back to Augustus Close bridge Augustus Close bridge The Thames path follows the Grand Union towpath to Brentford Bridge
	Brentford Bridge A ford over the Brent close to here gave the town its name Brentford Gauging locks and new developments around it that have removed most traces of the former canal buildings but kept this swing bridge Brentford Town Station was next to a bridge across the road taking the railway to the docks. Goods trains still used this line when I was young.
