Bloomberg sack cleaner after miscarriage

Finsbury Square, London. Thu 25 Feb 2016

IWGB Union rep Hanna Abebe, sacked by Bloomberg. She had a miscarriage allegedly brought on by excessive workload.
Lack of an agreement on sick pay forced her to return to work while still unwell and she was sacked by contractor Compass

Union members make a lot of noise in front of the Bloomberg offices

a police officer tries to talk with IWGB President Alberto Durango who ignores him

They walk around in a circle in fron to the offices

 blowing horns

as people go in and out at lunchtime

Alberto speaks about why they are protesting

and sacked union rep Hanna Abebe talks about her treatment by Compass managers

An increased workload when she was pregnant led to a miscarriage at work

The cleaners get only the statutory minimum sick pay, and she could not afford to stay off work

She came back to work when still suffering after the miscarriage.

Compass sacked her, and she says she was victimised because of her activities as IWGb union rep
