MfJ 'Set Her Free' protest at Yarl's Wood

Yarl's Wood, nr Bedford. Sat 7 Nov 2015

People listen as someone inside talks over a phone through the loudspeakers

A banner says 'Know Your Rights' You don't have to talk if stopped in an immigration raid, you are free to walk away

 'Shut Down Yarl's Wood'

 Focus E15 and FRFI banners

And Jasmin Stone from Focus E15

The women inside are still waving

People bring balloons to the fence

and take them to the top of the fence

The crowd stands on the hill in late winter afternoon sun

as I leave while the protest is still continuing

and make my way along the footpath - here the end of a byway

back to the road. On the other side is a very large field and though it's sunny, a cold wind blows across it.
