DSEi: Pax Christi Vigil

Excel London, Royal Victoria Dock. Tue 8 Sep 2015

I took the train to Prince Regent station

The Occupy Democracy camp was a couple of minutes away, close to the Premier Inn

Peole were blocking the road leading to the east entrtance of the Excel Centre when I arrived

Though more were on the side of the road

Police were keeping an eye on the protesters

'Put Down the Sword' and 'Where is the Love????'

Some were sitting on the pavement with their posters

and the police were taking notes

Quakers for Peace and a section of the 7 mile long peace scarf knitted to stretch between the UK's two atomic bomb factories at Burghfield and Aldermaston last summer.

Police warn those still blocking the road that they are committing an offence and could be arrested

and eventually the protesters decide to move to the pavement
