Cleaners invade Barbican Centre

Barbican Centre, London. Sat 16 May 2015

The protest continues, attracting the attention of the public and Barbican employees, many of whom are

in sympathy with the people they work with here

When the protesters are aware that the police are on their way, they go for a walk around the centre to let all the users see what is happening

and are stopped by the pollice by the exit to the lakeside area

UVW General Secretary Petros Elia talks with police and a Barbican manager

While the protesters keep up a noisy protest

The Barbican management has requested that the cleaners leave, and eventually they agree to do so,

marching through the centre still protesting noisily

back to the main entrance where they came in.
