Property Awards at Mayfair Hotel

Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London. Tue 21 Apr 2015

'They tried to bury us - they didn't know we were seeds - Sweets Way Resists'

Security guard and the four 'cups' for the alternative awards ceremoney

The winner in the occupation of the year category

The winner of the young protester of the year award was Kauthar from Sweets Way

And the demonstation of the year award

was I think awarded to the previous week's No More Deaths on our Streets protest, with Heather taking it

and the man holding the placard making award was announces as the winner

Most of the protesters then moved to the back entrance of the hotel, where staff quickly closed the main gate

Piers Corby from the Aylesbury campaign emphasizes the need for more Council Housing rather than simply
social housing. Housing associations are becoming profit-driven and little different from private landlords.

Police and protesters argue at the gate. There were some arrests after I left.
