KFC protest over TTIP

Shepherds Bush, London. Sat 18 Apr 2015

War on Want campaigners prepare to protest at KFC against TTIP forcing the UK to accept US food processes currently ruled unsafe here.

Another protester had come with a rubber chicken that squeaked loudly when pressed

A police officer tries to find out what is going to happen, but the chickens aren't talking

Protesters wait at the crossing lights

 and walk across to protest

more or less in front of KFC, though they were careful to avoid blocking the door

rather more careful than they needed to be

And they began to dip the chickens in buckets labelled chlorine and peroxyacetic acid

With a commentary about TTIP forcing the UK to allow chickens processed in this way into the UK

against our own safety regulations. In the US they are allowed because chickens are kept in cages with very

poor standards of hygeine that would not be permitted here, and drastic treatment of the carcases is essential
