'Tin Pan Alley' 12 Bar club faces eviction

Denmark St, London. Thu 29 Jan 2015

The day before I had met some of the 12 Bar Club squatters outside the Royal Courts of Justice

while they were outside the court during a lunchtime recess on the hearing for a possesion order

The afternoon session was longer than expected and I left before the verdict.

Today when I got to the 12 Bar, I learnt that the IPO (interim possession order) had been served on the squatters around an hour earlier

They expected an attempt to evict them as soon as the 24 hours notice expired at Friday lunchtime

The occupiers who use the hashtag #Bohemians4Soho want support for a party in the street outside to oppose

 the eviction.

The 12Bar is next to the alley beside Hanks, London's and probably Europe's most famous guitar store

with its free noticeboad used by mucisians to form bands, advetise gis, sell instruments etc

The area behind the club is already part of a building site

with the alleyway full of scaffolding
