Britain Needs A Pay Rise

Embankment, London. Sat 18 Oct 2014

People were already on the Embankment a couple of hours before the march was due to start

mainly from the larger unions such as the GMB

 and Unison

I returned at the end of the press call to photograph Frances O'Grady

The gap between rich and poor is widening in the UK, with company chief executives getting 175 times the pay of the average worker

Len McCluskey arrived late

and joked with her about a flyer for Socialism 2014

Eventually the march set off,

but I stayed behind to photograph the rest of the march as it started. The UAF Banner
