Druids on Primrose Hill

Primrose Hill, London. Tue 23 Sep 2014

Druids with hands joined to renew their Druid vows

Four druids come from North, East, South and West to the centre to give a blessing of peace to the four corners of the world

The sword bearer leads the druids from the circle out between druids forming a gateway

 and they process in order

 slowly down the hill

 with the two banners

to form a circle again, where, after a brief word they dismiss

 and start to clear away

carefully packing the banners away. A few people come - as invited earlier - to find out more, and some druids stay for a picnic. But I wanted to leave
and get on with some work, so said goodbye and walked away, across the top of the hill, to catch my bus

But on the hill top, another group had formed a circle

with a single figure in the middle who was telling them about the druids - and told them he was one

The people present seemed to be students or tourists, but I didn't wait to find out more.

but hurried away after taking a few pictures.
