Druids on Primrose Hill

Primrose Hill, London. Tue 23 Sep 2014

The Lady representing Ceridwen, the Earth Mother and her two maids wearing flower crowns

The line is complete at moves off slowly up the hill behind the sword bearer

At the top, druids stand to form a gate thorugh which the others pass to form a circle

using the talcum powder markings made on the grass earlier

Four of the druids are Element bearers, representing Water, Fire, Earth and Air and they take their places in
the north, south, west and east respectively.

The lady and her companions stay outside the circle that is forming, and the standard bearers

stand behind the the 'Triad' of Chief, Pendragon and Scribe and the Presider at the east of the circle

The trumpet is blown towards each of the four corners (compass points)

and the sword is brought

and withdrawn a few inches from its sheath with the question 'Is it Peace'?' to each corner in turn

and with the response 'Peace!' the sword goes back into its sheath each time

The Lady - Ceredwin, the Earth Goddess - seeks permission to enter the circle

and is allowed to enter, with her maids

She brings the horn of plenty
