Solidarity with Ferguson

US Embassy, London. Sun 17 Aug 2014

Carole Duggan, the aunt of Mark Duggan, unarmed and surrendering to police when they shot him

in Ferry Lane, Tottenham, with the banner designed by his children - in front of the US embassy

The solidarity protest was called by 'London Black Revs'

 London Anti-fascists at the vigil

Rain pours down, and people shelter under the overhanging roofs of the two lodges outside the embassy fence

While the speakers stood in pouring rain, under an umbrella

and a small group sheltered under their own umbrella

Raised fist salutes at the end of one speech

And people hold their hands up - as did Michael Brown, Mark Duggan and others when they faced armed police

'Don't Shoot' they shoult - but the police did

Carole Duggan speaks powerfully about the murder of her nephew

and ends with a raised fist salute and a should of solidarity
