Obama keep your promises

Trafalgar Square, London. Fri 23 May 2014

Protesters arrived with a large inflated Shaker Aamer

and pulled it upright in front to the National Gallery

It said 'Free Shaker Aamer - Cleared for release - Still in Guantanamo - Why?'

The picture of Shaker had apparently been chosen by him when he was asked about making the inflatable by his lawyer

and the inflatable did attract some attention from those walking by

Obama came to power saying he would close Guantanamo - and repeated the promise when re-elected. But it hasn't happened

and the protesters want him to stand by his promise

Handing out posters

which were going to spell out a message

G is for Guantanamo
