Earth Strike target Glencore

Mayfair, London. Sat 29 Feb 2020

There was already a line of people with banners and placards outside Glencore when I arrived for the start of the protest

A man was holding the Free West Papua flag, and the main banner was for Earth Strike North of the River

Chalked on the pavement '1 Smart Phone - 1 Killed Child' . Many child workers have been killed or maimed in Glencore's DRC mines

producing the minerals needed for phones and other electronic equipment

 Burn Capitalism NOT the Planet

 Power to the People

Fixing the Figth Racism Fight Imperialism banner to Glencore's windows

The Oxford Climate Justice Campaign handout about Glencore's crimes with links to mainstream press articles

More Chalk - Glencore Murders For Profit. They have paid extreme right groups who attack and murder protesters

against their mining activities. Earth Strike say "Climate Change Is A War Of The Rich Against The Poor'

To save the envrionment fight Capitalism. Earth Strike warn the 'Green New Deal' perpetuates exploitation and imperialism.

'RIP The Children who have died in Glencore's cobalt mines'

Glencore subsidiary Drummond in Colombia gave money to support AUC paramilitaries who killed 3 trade
unionists from their coal mine and forcibly dispersed peasants to dig a new mine.

A man starts painting the slogan 'GLENCORE BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS' on a giant banner

 The slogan is completed

and people are invited to put on gloves to make bloody hand hand prints with red paint
