It wasn't clear what was happening in the centre of Uxbridge as people
in orange wooly hats began to give out
fliers with the message 'Boris Doesn't Want You to Vote..." and
telling people how to register to do so
They moved through the busy shopping streets to a bus stop
where an open top bus was waiting.
Anarchists had joined them with pictures of the Bullingdon Club and
the message 'Fuck Off Back to Eton'
They said 'Why Vote? Revolt!' with a list of places were there had
been militant protests on the street
and set off an orange smoke flare
'We've Got To Get Rid of the Rich!'
A few other protesters had placards but they were thin on the ground,
though there was a large banner on the bus
and a 'Kick Boris Out!' banner
People danced to a powerful sound system on the top deck of the bus
and there were dancers on the bus too
and finally we were told to get ready to march in a few minutes
