Ken Livingstone speaks in support of Julian Assange and against his
terrible treatment and attempt to extradite him
Protesters had to wait for the Iraqi protest to finish before moving
to the front of the BBC who hey say is
remaining silent and refusing to report of the facts of Assange's
treatment
The offences that Assange is being charged with in the USA are clearly
political and should have been thrown out of the English courts as they
fall
outside the remit of the US/UK extradition treaty. But we are letting
the US run our courts in what the protesters
say is an attempt at 'Extraordinary Rendition!'
The extradition attempt is an attack on freedom of speech and threatens
other publishers and journalists in the UK
The US want to gag Assange and Wikileaks and to stop further information
about their war crimes being published.
People pose for a group photo
including two 'unicorns' holding posters 'It Wasn't Wikileaks who
committed war crimes!'
A cartoon shows Trump pulling Assange out from the Ecuadorian Embassy
with the help of the British poodle.
'Stand Up and Be Heard - "we live in an age in which slience
is not only criminal but suicidal ... for if they take
you in the morning they will be coming for us that night" James
Baldwin - Free Assange!'
The protesters move in front of the BBC
'US charges against Assange could criminalise the critical work of investigative
journalists and their ability to protect their sources' NUJ
