Global Climate Strike Protest continues

Whitehall, London. Fri 20 Sep 2019

Political artist Kaya Mar was at Parliament with a picture of Trump with a club and oil filling pump on the globe

Kurds were also protesting in Parliament Square in support of Rojava and against the Turkish invasion.

Rojava has a remarkable constitution that enshines equality for women and for minorities and is also

 environmentally concerned.

People warn protesters sitting on the road in Whitehall they will be arrested unless they move

 and most stay sitting

watched by other protesters and legal observers

 after a final warning

one man is arrested and led away towards a police van

The school students march up Whitehall

and then turn down Horseguards Ave

 and into Whitehall Court.

Police block them at the junction with Northumberland Ave and they sit down

 'You're burning our future'

 'Stop Ecocide'

 'Don't Be A Fossil Fool'

 'Planet Plastic'

A young woman speaks using a traffic cone as a megaphone

A man holds a small dinosaur. Police try to persuade the students to move - and eventually they do

 and sit down in Whitehall

 'No Planet B'

 Many have Extinction Rebellion stickers

 'Reduced to ASH'

'Hello? Which Part of Emergency Don't You Understand'

Eventually they stood up and began ot march back towards Parliament Square
