John McDonnell MP in the centre behind the main banner; behind him
the Southall Black Sisters banner and
to the left the NUT banner for teacher Blair Peach
At centre foreground, Pragna Patel. Peach's murder inspired her to
form Southall Black Sisters
By Glassy Junction the march turned to the west
The march behind the decorated van on Beaconsfield Rd
It turns off down a side road
and halts outside the Ramgarhia Sabha Gurdwara which the Chaggar family
attend
The Gurdwara hands out orange juice and bananas to all those who want
them
and prayers are recited
People stand and listen to the prayers
some hold their hands together
All are invited to visit the Gurdwara, but the march is late and most
of us move on
red and white roses are handed out to the marchers
including Louise Raw
The front of the march comes on to Southall Broadway
Most people now hold flowers
A man brings out a tray of sweets, and we enjoy them. But my camera
gets a bit sticky!
The march turns off to go to where Blair Peach was murdered
and people lay flowers
