I briefly left Oxford Circus and came back to find that police had
formed a cordon around the Berta Cáceres
The red robed group were walking around the outside of Oxford Circus
The police were in a tight ring around the pink boat
and in front of them the crowd of protesters
More police came and formed a cordon around the whole of Oxford Circus
Most of the protesters were now between the outer cordon and the boat
The singing continued
The red group representing the blood of extinct species moved around
the outside cordon, which had moved
a little tighter. Police were encouraging people to leave but not
letting protesters enter
Around the bottom of the boat people were locking on in various ways
and I was taking pictures from outside the ring of officers
'Extinction Means Extincton'
'Healing the world one heart at a time'
The police were warning people they would be arrested if they stayed
in the centre of Oxford Circus
and some prepared to be arrested
People who had left the cordon watched from the outside, mostly in
Oxford St, but a few in Regent St
Perhaps around 20 people were still protecting the boat
One man tried to get through the cordon, telling the police it was
his boat
but was restrained
