Fossil-Free London Lobby Tour

Bank & Stock Exchange, London. Tue 22 Oct 2013

People met up at Bank a few minutes later than promised

and there were a few songs

and some poetry from Pete the Temp

The protesters surrounded the area with hazard tape 'Climate Crime Scene'

As well as songs and poetry there was also a short talk about why this was a Climate Crime scene

People filled black (and purple) balloons to represnt carbon dioxide. They had intended them all to be black

but found it difficult to find black balloons

Some burst as they tried to label them with Tippex or felt pen

From Bank the protesters walked to the Stock Exchange

pausing briefly at the north entrance

before going around the the main entrance on Paternoster Square

ignoring a legal notice on the way (if they noticed if)

and there was a talk about the Stock Exchange's involvement in Climate Crime

and a song (Buddy won't you spare a dime)

People with their balloons

Security men discussed the protest with police who had come to follow the tour around

The prepared to pop the balloons

And all but one has been popped - and the final one didn't last long
