Thames Path: Buscot to Cricklade

 Inside St Lawrence's Lechlade

 

 

 

  The west side of Halfpenny (Ha'penny) Bridge, Lechlade
 
The entrance to the Thames and Severn Canal (and the first bridge over the canal.) Inglesham lock was just beyond this 

 

Behind the main building is one of the circular houses built for the lengthmen on the canal 

Inglesham Church, saved in its medieval state by 'Anti-Scrape' campaigners including William Morris 

 

The walls with their traces of medieval paintings and later texts 

Ancient wood screens
