	Deborah Cole from 'Inquest' speaking The Black Women's Rape Action Project (BWRAP) brough banners and posters calling for an end to rape in India and against violence against women Immigrants and Asylum seekers have particular problems convincing the UK Borders Agency over their accounts of rape and are often disbelieved by the authorities - and they face being deported back into situations where they will be further violently abused. In the UK they complain that the 'CPS uses unfair and irrelevant evidence' to put the blame on the victim Rape investigations in the UK are often not pursued seriously: evidence is often lost, police fail to interview witnesses, the victim is blamed - and sometimes even prosecuted and police sympathy lies with the rapist.
