Thames Path - Abingdon-Oxford

Abingdon - Oxford. Friday 26 August 2011

Most earlier visitors seem to have carved their initials on the Abbey, but I couldn't see C.L.D loves A.L anywhere

A nice gate close to the Trout Inn, where I suggested we take shelter from a very heavy shower, but we walked on

Some dead trees provided a useful seat on which to eat our sandwiches, and it was now warm in the sun

I get left behind again as I contemplate the sky and river

A slightly threatening flock of bullocks we had to walk past, one of whom had clearly been

overdosing on the hormones

An afternoon on the river remains pleasant
