EDL Oppose Muslims Against Crusades

Whitehall, Sun 20 June 2010

Police escort EDL into the pen

Some of the EDL know that I try and report honestly even though I don't share their views. Here as a family is left
to demonstrate, men in the background are led away by police

and a couple of minutes later were lined up against the wall in Parliament Street and searched.

Police then insisted I move away from the area, and while I was continuing to cover the other protests,
the EDL members who had been searched were taken in the other direction. While I was watching I
didn't see the police find anything in their searches, but they may have done so later. Given the large
number of angry Asian youths who arrived around 40 minutes after this, the EDL would have been
unwise to remain in the area.

The few EDL supporters who had been allowed to remain continued to demonstrate beside the One Law For All
