	Tamils on Hunger Strike Parliament Square, London. Friday 10 April, 2009 Some spelling may be wrong, but the messages are clear.
	The two hunger strikers were concious but looked very weak

	The Indian government has supported Sri Lanka in its persecution of Tamils, despite the large Inidan Tamil population



			Tamils see the LTTE (Tamil Tigers) as figthing for their freedom and not as terrorists Britain failed to secure proper protection for Sri-Lankan Tamils at Independence in 1947 and over the years has failed to take any effective action to prevent the marginalisation, persecution and killing of Tamils. Our policies have been driven by considerations of British business interests and a desire to keep the Commonwealth intact at all costs.
