	Manor Gardens Allotments Meeting Hackney Wick, Sunday 4 March, 2007 Some gardeners are still keeping their plots tidy, clearing up after the winter
	and lifting the last of the winter vegetables
	Such as these leeks. Work will be needed if they are allowed to stay or if a new site is found, although there seems to be no way this could possibly happen before 2008
	Many have comfortable areas where they can enjoy their work - and eat the vegetables
			These are jerusalem artichokes being peeled ready to cook.
			The figs are small now, but will be ripe in August or September if allowed to grow. There are many varieties in the gardens.
