The Right to Protest

Parliament Square, Westminster, Sunday 7 August, 2005

Their was a debate on how the protest should end,

There was an invitation to take part in an illegal Westminster Tea Party in favour of the Tobin Tax immediately after leaving the square.

and a decision was made to lie down for a short period on Parliament Square.

Meanwhile the peace demonstration on the pavement opposite the Houses of Parliament continues

Gathering with tea bags at the centre of Westminster Bridge
Just tea bags to you, but a political statement against corporate power and in favour of elected governments

and after posing for the photographers, the bags were split and thrown into the river.
.
And it was time to go home for some tea - unlike this, ours is fairly traded..
