Bramhall Hall & Stockport to Manchester

Thu 2 Aug 2018

The bathroom in the servants quarters

and a maid's room - though there might have been more than one bed when it was in use

though the general atmosphere has been nicely recreated

I suspect that these rooms may have been more spartan for the staff

A room for sewing and ironing

I think this was the housekeeper's room

The kitchens were also well displayed

with a hatch to take food through into the dining room

 storerooms

and down a few steps, a cold room, which on this very hot day did feel impressively cool

after stopping and having ice creams and drinks sitting in a shady part of the garden, we walked down a

well shaded path to the garden front of the house

The Lady Brook flows through the park

 Stockport Masonic Guildhall

 Stockport Town Hall

The red building is Stockport Central Library

The Unity Inn is to let

Bust Station and Viaduct from Wellington Road South

The sun was shining directly at my camera, making it difficult to photograph from the bus

 The Mersey

Midway Business Centre, Stockport Rd, Levenshulme

The Inkerman comany of the Duke of Lancashire's Regiment are 'Always Ready' on Ardwick Green North
